Eddy C. Agbo, DVM, MS, PhD
Chairman & CEO

Eddy AgboDr. Agbo is responsible for guiding the strategic management and scientific direction of Fyodor. Prior to founding Fyodor, Dr. Agbo held a senior management position as the Senior Director for Research and Preclinical Development at Cangen Biotechnologies, Inc, a cancer diagnostics and therapeutics company based in Baltimore MD, where he functioned as the Chief Technical Lead and directed Cangen’s pivotal bladder and lung cancer diagnostic and therapeutic programs. He directed the preclinical and clinical validation of Cangen’s innovative bladder cancer detection assay and was Technical Lead in negotiations with the US FDA. Prior to joining Cangen, Dr. Agbo was a Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he worked on diagnostic and therapeutic biomarker discovery. Formerly, he held biomedical research and product development industry and university positions at ID-Lelystad, Utrecht University, Wageningen University and Free University Amsterdam, all in the Netherlands (Holland). At ID-Lelystad, he undertook the development and validation of an ELISA-based diagnostic test kit for a protozoan parasite.

Dr. Agbo has over 15 years of biomedical research and direct product development experience in university and industry settings. He is the lead inventor on pending genotyping and diagnostic biomarker patents, and author of numerous scientific publications in peer reviewed journals, including Science, Nature, Transactions of the Biochemical Society UK, Trends in Parasitology, Trends in Microbiology, Parasitology, Experimental Parasitology and Chromosoma.

Dr. Agbo earned his PhD in Molecular Genetics from Utrecht University, MS in Biotechnology from Wageningen University, both in The Netherlands, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr. Agbo holds a graduate certificate in Leadership and Management in the Life Sciences from Johns Hopkins University Business School.

Anne M Derrick, MBA
Vice President, Business Development & Operations

Anne DerrickMs. Derrick has extensive experience in the development and commercialization of both diagnostic and biotechnology products.  She has been providing business development support to biotech companies for the past 10 years, including at Guilford Pharmaceuticals, MGI Pharma and most recently at Cangen Corporation.  Previously, she held positions in diagnostic product research and development, biotech sales and marketing with biotech companies in both the diagnostic and therapeutic product areas. She has experience in licensing, strategic planning, product development and intellectual property strategy.

Ms. Derrick received a B.S. in Medical Technology from St Francis University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College.

Phyllis Dillinger, MBA
Chief Financial Officer (Consulting)

Phyllis DillingerMs. Dillinger brings extensive financial management experience from KPL Inc, a manufacturer and distributor of antibodies and reagents to the life science research community, where she is also an Executive Vice President. During her 13 years with KPL, Ms. Dillinger completed a divestiture, spun off a separate genomics business and most recently relocated the organization to a 30,000 square foot state of the art facility. Prior to joining KPL, she was C.F.O. of Sopha Medical, a French-held U.S. subsidiary manufacturing gamma cameras. During her stay at Sopha, sales grew from $1M to $42M. She completed an $85M dollar merger between Sopha Medical and Summit Vision and relocated the new organization to Cleveland, Ohio.

Ms. Dillinger is a member of the board of directors of Women in Bio, a national organization of women executives with interest in science and entrepreneurship, and Lyden Consulting which provided services to the Department of Justice and several components of the Department of Homeland Security.  She has also served on the board of Capital Genomix.

Ms. Dillinger holds an M.B.A. from The George Washington University.
