General Manager - Sales & Marketing

The Opportunity

You will lead and grow a global tripleA+ team to commercialize our novel medical diagnostic products across Africa. In this opportunity, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial strategy for the Company, engage key stakeholders in the healthcare delivery sector to identify, develop and nurture new market opportunities, and expand market penetration of the Company’s products.


The position will be based in Lagos, Nigeria.


Specifically, you will:

  • Develop and implement brand strategy and identity

  • Lead the national and regional product sales and delivery activities

  • Create and implement products marketing strategy and lead associated integrated marketing communications plan including advertising, sales promotions, loyalty programs, pre-sale strategies where appropriate, trade shows, POS, direct mail, etc.

  • Be responsible for designing the group commercial strategy, along with the successful communication and delivery of the strategy

  • Be responsible and accountable for developing and executing business strategies to deliver growth in accordance with the strategic plans

  • Formulate and implementation of interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing tenders and new business opportunities

  • Guide and direct commercial activity across the Company to maximize the market potential of products, to support delivery against KPI’s and targets

  • Manage Company key sales accounts and teams

  • Be responsible for selecting appropriate trade shows/industry events, creating the marketing communications strategy and executing in partnership with other Division Heads

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging business opportunities with a view to positioning the Company’s sales resource and technical capability accordingly

  • Implement and manage an effective CRM supported throughout the organization



Qualifications

  • Passion to make things happen

  • You must be innovative, with demonstrable evidence of sales innovation and performance

  • Must have 5+ years of demonstrable hands-on direct-to-consumer sales track record in Nigeria food, telecom, pharma, or other relevant product sector

  • Conscientious, with the ability to foster team camaraderie and community

  • Strong persuasive interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented professional, with effective verbal and written communication skills


The Extras

  • BSc and/or advanced degree in a relevant discipline

  • International marketing experience a strong plus

  • New product launch experience a strong plus

  • Willingness to travel

  • Valid driver’s license

Finance Manager

The Opportunity

You will play a pivotal role within a global tripleA+ team, providing financial and management support to colleagues, clients and stakeholders. In this opportunity, you will interact with several departments internally, and with external partners.


The position will be based in Lagos, Nigeria.


Specifically, you will:

  • Develop financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency

  • Assist in budget preparation and management activities

  • Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances

  • Manage company budget to maximize revenue and identify potential areas of cost savings

  • Manage cash controls, as well as ensure up-to-date book-keeping

  • Ensure maintenance of the general and subsidiary ledgers

  • Track Company investments and maintain relevant cash reserves

  • Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget

  • Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, invoices, proposals, etc as required

  • Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely

  • Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded

  • Manage the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, expense reports, etc

  • Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting

  • Update financial records with recent transactions and changes

  • Perform financial analysis, reporting and management tasks

  • Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues

  • Develop, interpret and update databases and financial models


Qualifications

  • Results-oriented and passion to make things happen

  • Process-driven and impeccable attention to detail

  • 4+ years’ experience in a leadership role

  • 4+ years’ financial management experience


The Extras

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required (MBA preferred)

  • Appropriate professional certifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
